About Radio Glendon

Olivia is entering her fourth year in the Psychology program and has taken on the role of Executive Director at Radio Glendon, recognizing the need to revitalize the space following the impacts of COVID-19. With a passion for audio art and storytelling, Olivia is excited to bring fresh energy to the station, fostering creativity and community engagement through both music production and podcasting.

Olivia commence sa quatrème année dans le programme de psychologie et a pris le rôle de directrice exécutive de Radio Glendon, reconnaissant le besoin de revitaliser l'espace après les impacts de COVID-19. Passionnée par l'art audio et la narration, Olivia est enthousiaste à l'idée d'apporter une énergie nouvelle à la station, en encourageant la créativité et l'engagement communautaire par le biais de la production musicale et de la podcasting.

Antonio is in his 4th year of the Psychology Program as a 1st year Glendon transfer student. He has an interest in music and the processess behind creating songs. He is looking forward to assisting anyone with a similar interest and helping create fun and inviting events for all students of York University.

Alec Karabal is in his 2nd year at Glendon, majoring in Communications. He’s an actor, podcaster, and now Social Media Executive for Radio Glendon. He joined the team to bring his energy, creativity, and a fresh voice to RGL’s online presence. Alec’s looking forward to making the socials more engaging, spotlighting student voices, and keeping things fun for the Glendon community. Stay Yeeted 😎

Alec Karabal est en 2e année à Glendon, où il fait une majeure en communications. Il est acteur, podcasteur et maintenant responsable des médias sociaux pour Radio Glendon. Tharanika is in her 2nd year of the French Studies Program. She chose to become an executive because of her love for music and production. She is looking forward to helping make music more accessible to all students at Glendon. As well as sharing her passion with others.

Tharanika est en 2e année du programme d’études françaises. Elle a choisi de devenir exécutive grâce à son amour pour la musique et la production. Elle a hâte de contribuer à rendre la musique plus accessible à tous les étudiants de Glendon, ainsi que de partager sa passion avec les autres.

Bahriya is in her 3rd year of the French studies and Psychology program at Glendon. She chose to become the co social media executive for Radio Glendon because she values the opportunity to amplify student voices and contribute to building a creative campus space. This year she is looking forward to collaborating with her peers, learning new skills and helping Radio Glendon grow as a platform where students can express themselves and connect with the wider community.

Bahriya est en 3e année du programme d’études françaises et de psychologie à Glendon. Elle a choisi de devenir coresponsable des médias sociaux de Radio Glendon, car elle tient à offrir une plateforme qui amplifie les voix étudiantes et contribue à bâtir un espace créatif sur le campus. Cette année, elle a hâte de collaborer avec ses pairs, d’acquérir de nouvelles compétences et d’aider Radio Glendon à grandir en tant que plateforme où les étudiants peuvent s’exprimer et se connecter avec la communauté élargie.

Nate is in his 4th year of the philosophy program. He is looking forward to playing the drums and learning more about music production. He decided to join the RGL team because of his interest in tech and engaging with local musicians.
